MY new 2009 T-Cat went about 30 miles before the belt began slipping, when I brought it in for repair it turns out some seal had leaked oil all over the belt. It took 2 weeks to get the parts and get it fixed. I have now travelled about 60 more miles since it was fixed and it's doing it again! I hear a lot of complaints on the the Thunder Cat ATVs has anyone else had headaches with their T-Cat? I'm wondering if I got a "lemon" or if they're all lemons? It's very frustrating to spend thousands on a machine that barely went 100 miles and is now "off to the shop" for the second time :( I'm reading of vibration issues, over heating issues, the starters, the coolant pump. What else whould I watch out for?

DAGZ, sorry to hear about that. I've not heard anything about the belt slippage but I have heard that the first batch of 2008 models had a TON of issues. I guess I got lucky with mine. The only problem I had was an oil leak between the transmission and engine. Dealer told me there's only a fine bead of silicone between the two! Luckily the repair was approved under warranty, otherwise it would of cost me around $800! They told me they had to pull the entire engine assembly out to fix the leak. So far, so good.

Glad you could join us. I've been waiting on some new members. The first mod that I think anyone with an automatic cat sould do is ///AIRDAM. Adam is getting praised in the cat community for his machine work on the sheaves. Better throttle response, will pull harder low end, mid range, and faster top speed. You can't go wrong. Snorkels are a good investment. Even if don't want to ride in the water. You never know when you have to cross that creek and " That was a lot deeper than I thought". I've heard that before.

The mods you're getting sound pretty good. I'd be curious how the pipe works out for you. Who are you buying it from? Is it Hot Seat Performance?

So what do you think of Thundercat Owners Group so far? You are actually THE first person to post anything on this site. I've been working on this site on-and-off for several months and finally have it to where I'm comfortable with it.
